Principal’s Message

Atwater Bay Elementary School Principal

Welcome to Atwater Bay Elementary—home of the mighty Stingrays!

As principal, it is my joy to welcome you to a school where our vision is clear and bold: *to ensure every student has a promising and successful future.* Just like the graceful stingray gliding confidently through the sea, our students are encouraged to move forward with purpose, resilience, and strength.

Atwater Bay thrives because of the powerful bonds between school, family, and community. Our mission is a shared journey—to create enriching, diverse pathways that support each child in discovering their unique brilliance. Whether diving deep into academics, fostering friendships, or building emotional wellness, we guide our Stingrays to navigate life with curiosity and compassion.

We are proud of our dedicated and high-quality team, our safe and positive school climate, and our high expectations for learning and personal growth. Our operations run smoothly beneath the surface, allowing every student to flourish above it. And with an engaged and invested community by our side, we are building something truly special.

Thank you for choosing to be part of the Atwater Bay Stingray family. Here, the tide is always rising—and we rise together.

With Stingray Pride,
Matt Hendricks
